Tiffany Kim
Tiffany began her music education with piano at the age of 4 and switched to violin for the next 20+ years. She won prizes in local and international competitions like the American Fine Arts Festival International Concerto Competition, Washington Performing Arts Society, VMTA, and New Praise Competition, throughout her youth. She played in leading positions in youth orchestras like the American Youth Philharmonic Orchestra and the German Youth Philharmonic. Tiffany has made appearances in famous concert halls like the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, Kostroma Philharmonic (Russia), Frankfurt Opera House (Germany), Berlin Philharmonic (Germany), Cologne Philharmonic (Germany), and many more.
At 17 years old, Tiffany decided to live abroad in Germany and study under renowned musical professors in Europe. She received her Bachelor of Music in Duesseldorf, Germany under Professor Andreas Krecher and her Master of Music in Karlsuhe, Germany under Professor Christian Ostertag. She has experience in performing as a soloist, concert master, and chamber music. After performing intensively in Germany for 10 years, she returned back to the states to be with her family again.
Tiffany’s focus has now shifted into teaching her students to pass on her legacy with all the knowledge and experience she gathered in Europe. Her way of teaching is very unique as it combines the American and European methods of learning and mastering the violin. She will dedicate herself to her students just as much as her students dedicate themselves to her.
